4 Stars
This is a series of Novellas based around the theme of an Elite agency providing companions and more. They are a mixture of MM and FF, and while I don’t generally read FF, I enjoyed all of them on the whole. The balance is right between not making the agency seem seedy, making sure there’s romance and chemistry between the MCs, and feeling you get to know them in this shortened form. I do enjoy a good short story collection; perfect for dropping in and out when you haven’t got time for a full book.
My particular favourites were:
How to Catch a Billionaire by Ana Ashley – I love a good secretly in love with your friend with a side of opposites and small town. It’s sweet and fun.
Hired by the Enemy by Jax Calder – Liam and Matthews view their past very differently. I loved how when they actually spend time together, they get to see the real other person and start to realise that things weren’t as they seemed back then. For a short novella, I really felt I understood both characters and loved how they came together both physically (very hot) and emotionally.
Text Me Like You Love Me by Rhys Everley – I really enjoyed the conversational flirting between these two; they connected and it felt very real from the start. Keaton has the right to be arrogant and overbearing but he really wasn’t and you can sense how desperate he is for it to be real with Milo.
A good collection of individual HEAs that I’d definitely recommend. Not too long but well written so that it feels like the stories aren’t rushed.
